Blogger Dingjiao Digital revealed that the Huawei Mate X7 will be the first to feature a custom 20GB of RAM, making it the foldable flagship with the largest RAM in Huawei’s history.
In the AI era, AI-powered smartphones require ample RAM, which can be read and written at any time, offering a much faster response time than long-term storage media like hard drives. Therefore, the most efficient way to achieve fast access to AI functions on a smartphone is to keep the AI model constantly loaded in RAM, essentially “always ready.”
The Huawei Mate X7 is equipped with 20GB of RAM, which is larger than the 16GB of RAM commonly used in the Android camp.
In addition, the Huawei Mate X7 is expected to be the first to use the Kirin 9030 chip, equipped with the new Red Maple Imaging system, and the lens is expected to support variable aperture.
As is customary, the Huawei Mate X7 will be released at the same time as Huawei’s next-generation flagship phone, the Mate 80 series. Based on previous leaks and speculations, the release date for both series is expected to be November this year, and Huawei is expected to make an official announcement soon.
