REDMI’s K series flagships are usually released after Xiaomi’s digital flagships, but this year’s product release schedule has changed significantly.
According to the blogger Digital Chat Station, the REDMI K100 series has been moved up to an August launch, preempting its big brother, the Xiaomi 18 series. In comparison, the previous generation K90 was released on October 23, 2025, meaning the K100 series is about two months ahead, a significant adjustment in release schedule.
According to leaks, REDMI will launch its flagship models, the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, at this event, while the standard version will be released later. Compared to the previous generation’s product lineup, the REDMI K90 series only launched a standard version and a Pro Max version. This time, the Pro version is making a comeback, positioned as a “mid-screen powerhouse,” creating a clearer hierarchy in the product matrix.
In terms of screen configuration, the K100 Pro is equipped with a 6.59-inch “golden size” medium screen, which balances the grip and display effect; the K100 Pro Max uses a 6.9-inch large screen, which is more suitable for users who pursue an immersive visual experience.
Both phones come standard with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8E5 flagship platform, ensuring powerful performance. In addition, they feature a 200-megapixel main camera with a large sensor, 100W fast charging, and full water resistance, making their overall configuration quite comprehensive.
In terms of battery life, the K100 Pro has a built-in 8500mAh high-capacity battery, while the K100 Pro Max further increases it to 9000mAh. Both models support wireless flash charging and reverse charging, which can meet the battery life needs of heavy users and provide emergency power for other devices.
In terms of audio experience, the K100 series is equipped with master-level symmetrical dual speakers, with external sound quality and volume performance reaching industry-leading levels. Whether watching movies or playing games, it can bring users a more immersive listening experience.
Finally, regarding the pricing issue that everyone is concerned about, it’s expected that the REDMI K100 series will see a price increase. Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing previously stated publicly that the pricing of all flagship phones is currently directly affected by the rising cost of memory. Based on current industry trends, the memory price increase is expected to continue until at least the end of 2027, and may not gradually ease until 2028.
