REDMI Note 17 Pro comes standard with Corning Gorilla Glass and full-level water resistance.

Fast Technology reported that REDMI officially announced that the Note 17 Pro will come standard with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which can challenge the industry’s higher 3-meter marble drop resistance standard and has passed SGS and CQC Gold Label dual five-star drop resistance certification.

It is understood that Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while maintaining the excellent scratch resistance of the original Victus, focuses on improving the phone’s drop resistance on rough surfaces such as concrete, and its scratch resistance is about 4 times higher than that of similar competing products.

In response to the trend of smartphones becoming increasingly heavier and their screen sizes larger, Victus 2 further optimizes its shock resistance, providing better protection for large-screen devices. Samsung’s high-end Galaxy S series flagship phones utilize Victus 2, and its drop resistance has gained widespread industry recognition. Currently, this glass is used by over 45 brands in more than 8 billion devices worldwide.

In addition to its excellent drop resistance, the REDMI Note 17 Pro has also passed multiple waterproof certifications including IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, and has obtained the TÜV SÜD 2-meter 72-hour waterproof certification, making it more reliable and worry-free for daily use.

Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group, said that the REDMI Note 17 Pro’s 3-meter drop resistance and full-level water resistance are extremely rare in its price range. It is of impregnable quality and its protection is as solid as a rock.

He further emphasized that the REDMI Note series has always adhered to an uncompromising commitment to quality, using robust materials to achieve the strongest drop resistance and waterproofing in its price range, building a formidable barrier of durability. The REDMI Note series upholds the value expected of a mid-range device and defends everyone’s right to equally enjoy technological advancements.

REDMI once again leads the industry standard with its ultra-long-term, multi-dimensional protection package, providing a safety net for unexpected events, adding peace of mind, and effectively reducing the long-term usage costs for users.
