Redmi Officially Confirms Battery Specs for Note 15 5G

A couple of days ago, Redmi officially began teasing its upcoming smartphone the Redmi Note 15 5G. The company has confirmed that the device will feature a 108MP main camera which remains unchanged from the previous generation.

Today, the brand also confirmed that the Redmi Note 15 5G will be equipped with a 5,520 mAh battery. This battery capacity was already expected based on previous rumors and its official confirmation is good to see. Compared to the Redmi Note 14 5G the new model offers a noticeable upgrade in battery capacity.

Redmi has confirmed that the battery of the Note 15 5G supports 45W wired charging, allowing for faster recharging compared to standard charging speeds. The brand claims the phone can deliver around 1.6 days of usage on a full charge although this figure may vary in real world scenarios. Alongside this, the company promises “up to 5 years of battery life” which appears to focus on durability rather than daily usage. We believe this claim refers to long term battery health suggesting it may take roughly five years for the battery capacity to drop below 80%.

Based on earlier rumors and information from retailer listings the Redmi Note 15 5G is expected to feature a large 6.83 inch FHD+ AMOLED display. The smartphone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and could come with 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of internal storage. In terms of cameras, report suggest that it has a 108MP main sensor supported by 8MP ultrawide camera as well as a 20MP front facing camera for selfies. In comparison, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 5G  is currently available in the market, starting at around $239.50 or €169.08 for the 8GB/256GB variant with the higher 12GB/512GB version priced at approximately $289.99.
