REDMI Product Manager: The K90 Standard Edition is a rare, comprehensive product in its class.

Fast Technology reported that REDMI product manager Hu Xinxin emphasized in an article that the K90 standard edition is a rare and comprehensive product in its price range.

The K90 series has undergone a significant upgrade this year, especially in terms of build quality and comprehensive configuration improvements, with the standard version being the most powerful ever.

First, the appearance has been upgraded, adopting a cool-toned glass process and a metal frame, giving it an overall texture comparable to the Xiaomi 17 standard edition.

The front features a 6.59-inch mid-sized screen, a new size chosen by the R&D team after in-depth research, according to Hu Xinxin.

The R&D team produced seven prototypes ranging from 6.1 inches to 7.04 inches. After conducting face-to-face interviews with hundreds of users, they found that the core demand of consumers in the 3K price range is “balance”—they want portability that can be held with one hand, but they do not want to sacrifice the immersive experience of audio-visual entertainment.

Ultimately, the 6.59-inch “golden mid-size” design won by a landslide. Combined with its slim and lightweight body design, it achieved a balance between feel and visual effect. This adjustment was also highly praised by Lei Jun, who said that its feel has been greatly improved and it is increasingly showing flagship qualities.

In terms of display quality, the phone is also equipped with a Super Pixel New National Screen, which adopts the same full RGB next-generation display technology as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. Each pixel is composed of independent red/green/blue sub-pixels, without the need to borrow pixels, achieving a breakthrough from lossy to lossless OLED screens.

In terms of core configuration, the REDMI K90 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra flagship platform, a rear 50-megapixel AI triple camera, a 7100mAh battery, supports 100W wired flash charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging, supports IP68+IP69 full-level water resistance, and supports ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint recognition.
