September Showdown! Huawei Mate XT2’s Pioneering U-Shaped Folding Design

Blogger Dingjiao Digital revealed that Huawei’s new generation of triple-folding screen model, the Mate XT2 Extraordinary Master, will be released in September this year, with its launch time perfectly matching that of Apple’s foldable screen iPhone Ultra, which will be launched at the same time.

The blogger also revealed that the Huawei Mate XT2 will feature an industry-first U-shaped folding structure, which is fundamentally different from the triple-folding design of Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold, and has completely forged its own technological path.

It is reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold adopts a G-shaped folding design, with the two screens on the left and right folding towards the middle, and an additional external screen on the outside of the body. This triple-fold design also has very strong operational limitations.

When using the device, you must fold the left screen first before you can fold the right screen. If the user does not follow the specified order and forcibly folds the right screen first, the device will directly pop up a window prompting you to unfold the phone and start folding from the other side. The device will also vibrate continuously to remind you, so the user experience is not very flexible.

The new U-shaped folding design introduced in the Huawei Mate XT 2 will most likely allow the screens on both sides to fold inwards simultaneously, making it much more flexible for daily use.

In addition to structural innovations, the Huawei Mate XT 2 will also be the first to be equipped with the Kirin 9050 series flagship chip and will come pre-installed with the latest HarmonyOS 7 operating system, ensuring maximum software and hardware compatibility.
