Apple changed the name of iOS 19 to iOS 26 this year, naming the mobile phone system after the year to make the version clearer.
There were some rumors before that Xiaomi would learn from Apple and name the next generation system Pengpai OS 26, but now it has been confirmed to be a rumor.
According to XiaomiTime, it has been confirmed for the first time in the Xiaomi code that the new system will be named Pengpai OS 3.
At the same time, this also verifies the previous predictions of analysts, indicating that the development of Pengpai OS 3 is proceeding as planned and is expected to be released in September.
According to Xiaomi’s product planning, the Xiaomi 16 series will be pre-installed with Surge OS 3 for the first time, and then the adaptation plan for older models will be launched.
In addition, the code also revealed that Xiaomi will add two new fonts to the lock screen style: FZFW ZhuZi A YuanS and Coca Cola Care.
It is expected that the UI design of Pengpai OS 3 will be further upgraded, and it will also bring new surprises in terms of fluency, AI and smart interconnection.
