The Honor Robot Phone is generating buzz even before its release!

Fast Technology reported that the world’s first robot phone, Honor Robot Phone, has officially opened for pre-orders.

Today, Honor’s official Weibo account announced that the number of pre-orders for the Honor Robot Phone on its first day has exceeded that of Honor’s previous flagship products, demonstrating high market interest even before its official release.

In terms of pre-order benefits, customers who purchase the device will receive a lifetime YOYO SVIP membership, a one-year worry-free gimbal replacement service, and accessories such as a phone case, magnetic stand, lanyard, and Honor Magic Cube all-in-one charger.

The biggest highlight of the Honor Robot Phone is its four-degree-of-freedom titanium alloy mechanical gimbal.

The gimbal supports 0.8-second rapid pop-up, 360° rotation tracking, and 90° and 180° intelligent camera movement, with image stabilization performance reaching CIPA 5.5 level.

Compared to traditional mobile phones that mainly rely on optical and electronic image stabilization, the Honor Robot Phone extends image stabilization to physical mechanical structures, which is expected to bring more stable images and more flexible camera movement capabilities in scenarios such as video shooting and motion tracking.

In terms of imaging configuration, the phone features a triple rear camera setup, including a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.

Digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” previously revealed that the 200-megapixel gimbal imaging of the Honor Robot Phone is just the foundation, and the core structural components, motors and modules are all independently developed and customized by Honor.

The entire gimbal and tilting mechanism has nearly 100 new parts, including 4 custom motors. The internal power system uses a special multi-pole magnetization process, and the smallest motor has a diameter of only 6mm.

To improve reliability, all core structural components are made of titanium alloy, and the material and processing costs are about three times that of conventional aluminum alloy swing arms.

In addition, the assembly process of this device is also very complex, involving more than 60 steps, which places high demands on manufacturing precision and mass production capabilities.

Regarding pricing, the blogger stated that given the rising cost of memory, the industry expects the Honor Robot Phone 1TB version to be priced around 15,999 yuan.
