Fast Technology reported that Huawei officially launched the world’s first wide-screen smartphone, the Pura X View, this afternoon, with a starting price of 5999 yuan.
Specifically, the Huawei Pura X View is priced at 5,999 yuan for the 12GB+256GB version, 6,999 yuan for the 12GB+512GB version, and 8,499 yuan for the 12GB+1TB version. It will be officially released on September 9.
The device features a 6.39-inch screen with a display area of 114.27 square centimeters, which is larger than the 6.9-inch iPhone 17 Pro Max (Note: the display area is 111.55 square centimeters).
Moreover, the Huawei Pura X View boasts a 96.1% screen-to-body ratio, a thickness of only 6.68 mm, and a weight of 201 grams. Within this ultra-thin and lightweight body, it packs a large 7000 mAh battery—larger than the iPhone 17 Pro Max—while maintaining a significantly thinner and lighter design.
Yu Chengdong stated that the Huawei Pura X View’s ultra-wide field of view will bring a unique and expansive experience in scenarios such as watching dramas, reading, gaming, and working.
With a 16% increase in display area when watching videos on a widescreen and a 21% increase when browsing in portrait mode, it can simultaneously serve as a pocket-sized cinema, e-reader, game console, and office tool, meeting users’ needs in multiple scenarios.
In terms of imaging configuration, the Huawei Pura X View features a 200-megapixel super-focusing camera (F1.8 aperture, supports OIS optical image stabilization), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro camera (F2.2 aperture), a 50-megapixel super-focusing periscope telephoto camera (F2.6 aperture, supports OIS optical image stabilization), and a second-generation red maple primary color camera.
In terms of performance, the device is equipped with the Kirin 9030S chip and the HarmonyOS 7 operating system. Through deep collaboration of software, hardware, chip and cloud, the overall performance of the device has been improved by 28%.
Meanwhile, the inclusion of HyperSpace Memory technology allows 12GB of RAM to achieve a 16GB-level performance, ensuring sustained smoothness. Even in scenarios involving fast-paced gameplay, continuous controls, and frequent perspective switching, it maintains a high frame rate for smooth operation, allowing for uninterrupted gameplay even in crucial moments.
In terms of communication, the Huawei Pura X View supports up to two physical SIM cards and two eSIM numbers, allowing for seamless switching between dual SIM dual standby. It also supports BeiDou satellite messaging, enabling users to freely edit text and send images, delivering crucial information at critical moments. Furthermore, it supports BeiDou weather forecasting, providing an extra layer of protection for every journey.
