According to supply chain leaks, the iPhone 17 series is about to enter the production stage, which confirms that it will still be released in September.

Now that we have entered the three-month countdown to the release, the configuration information of the new phone has basically become clear, especially the iPhone 17 Pro series, which has attracted the most attention. MacRumors summarizes the 12 upgrades of the Pro series, as follows:

Larger battery: The iPhone 17 Pro Max features a slightly thicker body design to accommodate a larger capacity battery.

A19 Pro chip: The iPhone 17 Pro is equipped with Apple’s next-generation A19 Pro chip, which is manufactured using TSMC’s updated third-generation 3nm process, and is expected to achieve a small annual performance improvement and energy efficiency optimization.

Apple’s self-developed Wi-Fi 7 chip: The four iPhone 17 models are equipped with Apple’s self-developed Wi-Fi 7 chip as standard, not Broadcom chips.

24-megapixel front camera: All four iPhone 17 models come standard with a 24-megapixel front camera.

48-megapixel rear telephoto lens: iPhone 17 Pro series is upgraded to a 48-megapixel telephoto lens.

Dual-channel video recording: The iPhone 17 Pro series will support users to record videos using both the front and rear lenses simultaneously in the camera app.

8K video recording: 8K video recording is supported for the first time.

12GB of RAM: Both the iPhone 17 Pro series and iPhone 17 Air are rumored to be equipped with 12GB of RAM, which will help improve Apple Intelligence functions and multi-tasking performance.

Heat dissipation optimization: All four iPhone 17 models are rumored to adopt internal design improvements to enhance heat dissipation, and the Pro series will be equipped with a vapor chamber cooling system.
