Three years of hard work! OnePlus unveils its chip-level gaming technology: superb performance

OnePlus Game Conference was officially held this afternoon, and OnePlus founder Liu Zuohu took the stage.

Liu Zuohu introduced that gaming is one of the most frequent usage scenarios for mobile phones, but there are still many pain points that need to be overcome. The chip-level gaming technology brought by OnePlus took three years to develop, and its performance is like a cheat.

According to official introduction, OnePlus’ chip-level gaming technology was first launched in the Ace 5 series, enabling games to run smoothly at full frame for a long time.

Under the same load conditions, the OnePlus Ace 5 series has lower temperatures, with large-scale heavy-load games running at an average 2°C lower. It also supports the industry’s only native 120 frames + 1080P concurrency.

After testing, the same “Honor of Kings” 120 frames + extreme picture quality was played for 1 hour. The average frame rate of OnePlus Ace 5 was 120.4, the power consumption was 3.57W, and the maximum temperature was 40.3 degrees. The average frame rate of the competitor’s Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition model was 120.2, the power consumption was 3.27W, and the maximum temperature was 40 degrees.

In this regard, some netizens said that OnePlus Ace 5 tuned the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 into the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition.

Li Jie, president of OnePlus China, said, “Why did OnePlus spend three years and invest a lot of R&D resources to create this revolutionary gaming technology? The reason behind this is actually our thinking about the industry and user experience.”

In the past few years, tuning has become a means for Android companies to optimize performance, but in essence it is only surface tuning, and the actual user experience is still insufficient. To fundamentally change the experience, we must go a step further and truly delve into the underlying chip.

We have assembled a group of engineers who understand the underlying technology best. They have brought the most significant breakthrough technology. The gaming black technology that will be launched for the first time on the OnePlus Ace 5 series will bring a leading gaming experience.
