White-panel phones are a thing of the past! The white Meizu 22 is sold out: an era has ended.

According to Fast Technology on April 8th, the latest page of Meizu’s official JD.com store shows that the white version of the Meizu 22 is currently completely out of stock . Only the Borderless Black and Passion Pink color options are currently in stock, with the 16GB+512GB version priced at 3199 yuan.

This situation signifies that white-front-panel phones will completely disappear from the market , a regrettable sign for users who pursue the ultimate minimalist aesthetic.

Back in February, Meizu officially announced a comprehensive strategic transformation. The official announcement clearly stated that the company would suspend self-developed hardware projects for new domestic mobile phone products and concentrate its efforts on longer-term technology tracks.

In its announcement, Meizu frankly admitted that the competition in the domestic mobile phone market in recent years has been far more intense than imagined. Although the brand has been striving to maintain the normal iteration of its mobile phone business, the recent continuous surge in the prices of core components, especially memory, has made the commercialization of new products extremely difficult.

Due to the suspension of its domestic mobile phone hardware business, the white front panel design of the Meizu 22 officially became the swan song of the industry . In a market dominated by black panels, Meizu was one of the very few brands that still insisted on a pure white design.

The highly acclaimed white front panel boasts an extremely complex manufacturing process. Its bezel width is compressed to 1.2 mm, and it utilizes advanced LIPO technology to achieve a visually striking physical isometric effect.

Because Meizu is the only company in the industry that insists on this craftsmanship regardless of cost, this color scheme is affectionately known as Meizu White. Now, with the entire inventory sold out, this unique aesthetic experience is gradually fading away in the market.

For electronics enthusiasts, the disappearance of Meizu White is not just about the stockout of a phone color, but also represents the end of an era that pursues the ultimate in differentiated design.
