Today, Xiaomi Mobile’s official Weibo account announced that Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 supports IPX8 level waterproof.It is understood that Xiaomi’s previous generations of folding screens do not support IPX8 waterproof level, so MIX Fold 4 is also the first model in the Xiaomi folding screen series to support IPX8 waterproof.
The IPX waterproof rating standard is divided into 9 levels from 0 to 8, specifically:
Level 0: No protection;
Level 1: can eliminate the harmful effects of vertically falling water drops;
Level 2: Protects against water drops falling within 15 degrees from the vertical direction;
Level 3: can eliminate the harmful effects of spray droplets at 60 degrees from the vertical direction;
Level 4: can eliminate the harmful effects of water droplets splashing from different directions;
Level 5: can eliminate harmful effects on water jets from nozzles in all directions;
Level 6: can eliminate the harmful effects of strong water jets from nozzles in all directions;
Level 7: Protected against immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes;
Level 8: Protected against the effects of continuous immersion in water more than 1 meter deep.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 will adopt all-carbon lightweight technology, and the entire structure will be 100% made of T800H high-strength carbon fiber material, covering an area of up to 33552mm².
The tensile strength reaches 5500MPa, the impact strength is increased by 300%, and the weight of the same volume is only 1/15 of the previous generation flagship aluminum alloy material.
In terms of core configuration, Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 is equipped with Leica optical Summilux quad-camera, dual telephoto and dual macro, including a 5X periscope, and supports 50W wireless charging and two-way satellite communication.
