Xiaomi Redmi 13C A Global Midrange Smartphone With Specs And Prices

Xiaomi has recently introduced the Redmi 13C, a new budget-friendly smartphone, to the global market, with Nigeria being the first to welcome this device. As the successor to the earlier Redmi 12C, the Redmi 13C shares its design and specifications with the POCO C65, which was launched earlier in the month.

The Redmi 13C boasts a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch for its front camera. It’s equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, aligning it with the POCO C65 in terms of processing power. Photography on the Redmi 13C is handled by a triple-camera setup, headlined by a 50MP primary sensor, complemented by an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through a USB Type-C port, although only a 10W charger is included in the box. The phone also features expandable storage via a microSD card slot and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.

Pricing for the Redmi 13C starts at Nigerian Naira 98,100 (approximately Rs 10,200) for the 4GB + 128GB model. There are also 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants available, priced at Nigerian Naira 108,100 (approximately Rs 11,200) and Nigerian Naira 121,100 (approximately Rs 12,500), respectively.

Currently available in Nigeria, the Redmi 13C is expected to launch in other global markets soon. It has already received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), indicating an impending release in India.

The Redmi 13C comes in a variety of colors including Midnight Black, Navy Blue, Glacier White, and Clover Green. Its other notable features include MIUI 14 based on Android 13, a dedicated micro-SD card slot expandable up to 1TB, a 3.5mm audio jack, and comprehensive connectivity options including Dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and multiple satellite navigation systems.
