Xiaomi Releases Schedule For HyperOS Android 14 Update

Xiaomi introduced HyperOS, its latest operating system based on Android 14, initially exclusive to the Chinese market. Despite its presentation as a new design, HyperOS doesn’t offer significant visual changes from MIUI 14. Instead, Xiaomi has concentrated on enhancing the system’s performance and optimization. These improvements significantly boost the UI’s fluidity, addressing the sluggishness previously experienced with MIUI 14. With the global launch of the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, Xiaomi also announced the wider availability of HyperOS, outlining when older devices would receive the update.

HyperOS comes pre-installed on the Xiaomi 14 series. Those purchasing Xiaomi’s 2024 flagships, available from early March, will have immediate access to the latest OS version. The update will gradually extend to the Xiaomi 13 series and other previous models in the following months. Xiaomi has provided a comprehensive list of devices set to receive HyperOS:

  • Xiaomi 14 (pre-installed)
  • Xiaomi 14 Ultra (pre-installed)
  • Xiaomi 13

Xiaomi has not specified exact dates for the rollout but aims to complete it by the end of June 2024. While Xiaomi’s pace in releasing software updates may seem leisurely compared to other brands, it’s noteworthy that the POCO X6 Pro also comes with HyperOS pre-installed, adding to its appeal.
