Xiaomi’s Zhang Guoquan responded to whether the Surge OS 3 Beta version will be launched this month

Xiaomi Group recently released its second-quarter financial report. Zhang Guoquan, director of Xiaomi’s mobile phone system software department, forwarded the news and said that “we are determined to invest in core technologies, exceeding 100 billion yuan for three consecutive quarters.”

A netizen asked in the comment section whether the Pengpai OS 3 Beta version would be launched this month. Zhang Guoquan replied: “I can’t say, it will be soon.”

In addition, domestic mobile phone manufacturers have recently connected to 12306, which allows them to conveniently display ticket purchase information within the system.

Some netizens also asked when Pengpai would be connected. Zhang Guoquan said: “We originally planned to release it together with OS3. Never mind, we will release it as soon as it is available.”

In other words, 12306 will soon be connected to Xiaomi Travel Assistant, and ticket information can be displayed within the system. It is expected to be announced in the next two days.

As for Pengpai OS 3, judging from Zhang Guoquan’s reply, the Beta version should be almost ready, and we are just waiting for the official promotion rhythm.

Previously, XIAOMITIME exposed the interface of Xiaomi Surge OS 3, which showed that Xiaomi has added a new Smart Island UI to the new system. For example, the countdown can be integrated with the front camera and displayed permanently.

The icon style still uses a minimalist approach and does not follow the liquid glass effect of iOS 26 as some rumors have suggested.

In addition, some application icons and battery icons have been redesigned for a better look and feel.

According to leaks, the upgrade of Pengpai OS 3 is very significant, which will enhance animation effects and smoothness, and improve system response speed.

In addition, AI and smart connectivity will bring new surprises.

As usual, the Xiaomi Mi 16 series will be the first to be equipped with Surge OS 3, and the series will be the world’s first to launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which will debut as early as September.
