Redmi K80 series with 2K straight screen as standard: top version also has IP co-branding
Smart Pikachu revealed that the entire Redmi K80 series will be equipped with a 2K straight screen as standard, and a joint series of products will also be unveiled.
In the past, the Redmi K series would launch champion edition co-branded models. The latest K70 Pro Champion Edition is a top-level product created by Redmi and Lamborghini.
Therefore, the Redmi K80 series co-branded model will also be a champion edition model, which may be a new co-branded product between Redmi and Lamborghini.
As Redmi’s most powerful high-end flagship, the K80 series will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 mobile platform, built-in 5500mAh ultra-large capacity battery, and support 120W fast charging.
Official data shows that the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 mobile platform will be released at the Snapdragon Technology Summit held in October. This chip is manufactured using TSMC’s second-generation N3E process. Compared with the N3B process used by Apple A17, the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 has more advantages in production capacity and technology, and the cost is also more favorable.
In addition, Snapdragon 8 Gen4 will abandon the ARM public version architecture and instead adopt Qualcomm’s self-developed Nuvia Phoenix architecture. Compared with the ARM architecture, the Nuvia Phoenix architecture has a higher advantage in performance. This is also Qualcomm’s first fully self-developed 5G SoC.
