Apple pushed the iOS 18.4 RC version today, which is the candidate version. Generally, if there are no major problems, it will be pushed to the official version next week.

One of the highlights of iOS 18.4 is that Apple AI has launched many new languages, including Chinese.

This is also consistent with the information previously released by Apple. The simplified Chinese version of Apple Intelligence will be officially launched in early April, together with the official version of iOS 18.4.

Alibaba previously confirmed that Apple will work with Alibaba to provide more personalized and localized services to Chinese users, and Apple has submitted its AI functions to relevant agencies for approval.

The English version of Apple Intelligence is now online. Its main features include writing tools for summarizing and proofreading texts, suggested replies in Messages and Mail apps, notification summaries, as well as image recognition, photo erasure, video editing, text retrieval, and audio transcription.

In addition, Apple has also added a major communication function – 5G-A to iOS 18.4.

The actual network speed of an iPhone with activated 5G-A can reach 1400Mbps, which is much faster than traditional 5G.

According to the list on China Telecom’s official website, all iPhone 13-16 series (including 16e) can support 5G-A networks after upgrading to iOS 18.4.

As for the iPhone 12 and earlier models, they are not capable of 5G-A due to baseband hardware limitations.
