First Rendering of iQOO 16 Revealed: Square Deco Shape Resembles a UFO, Highly Recognizable

According to Fast Technology on September 3, renderings of the iQOO 16 have been leaked on social media platforms.

It is reported that the iQOO 16 adopts a brand-new square camera DECO design, with three cameras connected in series. The overall shape is similar to a UFO, giving people a sense of extraterrestrial objects and making it highly recognizable.

In terms of body design, the iQOO 16’s mid-frame corners have been rounded, making it more comfortable to hold and effectively avoiding the discomfort that may occur during long gaming sessions, thus improving the grip.

Its front features a large, center-punch-hole 2K flat screen, supplied by Samsung, which is a new generation of “Mount Everest Screen” jointly created by iQOO and Samsung Display. This screen is the first to use Samsung’s M16 luminescent material, and it has been upgraded in multiple dimensions such as display effect, eye protection performance and power consumption control, and is known as the best 2K screen in Samsung’s history.

In terms of core hardware configuration, the iQOO 16 will be among the first to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Super Edition platform, the sixth generation of which is the first to be equipped with such a platform. The CPU of this chip consists of two 5.01GHz super cores, three 4.03GHz performance cores, and three 3.74GHz energy efficiency cores. It is the first mobile platform in the history of mobile phones to break the 5GHz mark, setting a new performance record.

Meanwhile, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra integrates the new Adreno GPU and combines technologies such as neural network processing, AI super-resolution, and AI frame generation, enabling higher game image quality and more stable frame rate performance with lower power consumption.

Furthermore, this chip is manufactured using TSMC’s most advanced 2nm process, making it Qualcomm’s first 2nm mobile chip. The phone will be officially released in September and will be iQOO’s most powerful flagship phone in terms of overall performance.
