Galaxy S24 Ultra Beats iPhone 15 Pro Max With Storage Read And Write Speed And Lower Latency

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s superior storage performance has been highlighted in the recent benchmarks, the device is considered superior in storage performance when compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

On January 22, 2024, it was reported that in the latest benchmark tests, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra‘s storage speed outperformed the iPhone 15 Pro Max by a significant margin. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, like the iPhone 15 Pro Max, represents the pinnacle of flagship smartphones, but the two devices use different storage standards. Samsung’s flagship employs UFS technology, while Apple uses NVMe storage.

Although both technologies can provide fast read and write speeds, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra demonstrated a remarkable advantage in the Jazz Disk Bench tests. The sequential read speed of the Galaxy S24 Ultra reached 2547MB/s, which is 75% faster than the iPhone 15 Pro Max‘s 1450MB/s.

The gap in write speeds was not as pronounced, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra achieving 1442MB/s, approximately 15% faster than the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s 1257MB/s.

In addition to sequential read and write speeds, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra also surpassed the iPhone 15 Pro Max in 4K random read and write speeds. Moreover, the Galaxy S24 Ultra exhibited lower latency compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, theoretically enabling faster application launching, depending on the optimization of the system.

It’s important to note that the tests were conducted on the 256GB storage variants of both phones, and results may vary with different storage capacities.
