Hisense officially announces the A10 e-ink phone with a detachable magnetic LCD secondary screen and a 4nm chip.

Fast Technology reported that Hisense officially announced its new generation e-ink screen phone, the A10, and revealed the phone’s appearance and some core specifications.

The Hisense A10 features a 6.13-inch e-ink screen on the front, designed to provide a paper-like viewing experience. It is suitable for long-term reading of e-books, annotation of notes, and exam preparation, meeting the needs of heavy readers for eye protection and low power consumption.

The biggest design highlight of the new phone comes from the back of the device. The Hisense A10 supports a magnetically detachable color LCD secondary screen, which can be used to browse text and images, view color comics and charts, and also meet daily audio-visual entertainment and social needs.

This design balances the reading experience of an e-ink screen with the content presentation of a color LCD screen, allowing users to switch between screen modes depending on the usage scenario.

In terms of core configuration, the Hisense A10 is equipped with a 4nm octa-core Qualcomm chip, comes pre-installed with the Android 16 operating system, and supports 5G full network connectivity and Wi-Fi 6.

Hisense stated that the new device is primarily targeted at heavy readers, students preparing for exams, people with dry and sensitive eyes, and users who do light office work.

For reference, Hisense’s previous generation e-ink screen phone, the A9, was released in May 2022, with a starting price of 1,799 yuan. It features a 6.1-inch, 300 PPI custom e-ink screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 4G processor.
