Honor Magic V6 debuts with a Black Diamond Screen: Say goodbye to screen protectors and glare anxiety.

Fast Technology reported that Honor officially launched its new generation foldable flagship, the Honor Magic V6, at MWC 2026. The phone will be released in China on March 10.

In addition to its record-breaking thinness, battery life, and performance, the Honor Magic V6 also features a groundbreaking four-in-one glass coating technology, bringing a brand-new “Black Diamond Screen”.

By depositing a silicon nitride thin film without carbon atoms using atomic-level magnetron sputtering, the problem of low light transmittance of traditional diamond-like carbon films has been completely solved.

To enhance scratch and drop resistance, Honor continuously sputters and deposits 5,600 layers of silicon nitride film on the glass surface, making the overall film thickness reach more than 2,000nm, achieving 10 times the drop resistance and 15 times the scratch resistance, effectively resisting the impact of everyday dust particles.

To address the “crater” problem on the surface after sputtering coating, Honor has adopted tangential capacitive plasma polishing (CCP) technology for the first time, reducing the surface unevenness from 7-10nm to 2nm, which greatly improves the wear resistance by 3 times and brings a silky smooth texture.

In terms of optical performance, by alternately doping 33 layers of antireflective film in the silicon nitride film layer and repeatedly adjusting the refractive index and doping thickness, the optical destructive interference effect is finally achieved, reducing the screen reflectivity from 5% to 1.5%, and it remains clear and transparent under strong light.

In addition, the Honor Magic V6 is equipped with newly upgraded ultra-tough UTG glass, with a crease depth of only 52μm after 24 hours of rest, and has obtained SGS crease-free certification, achieving a smooth folding experience like a straight screen.

Meanwhile, its outer screen has a black border width of only 1.18mm, bringing a more immersive display effect.

Overall, the Honor Magic V6’s Black Diamond Screen has achieved significant improvements in drop resistance, scratch resistance, wear resistance, and glare reduction, effectively alleviating visual fatigue under strong outdoor light and setting a new benchmark for screen experience for foldable screens.
