Honor Magic6 Leaked Details Confirm Satellite Communication

Honor Magic6 Emerges as the Second Chinese Domestic Satellite Communication Smartphone. The Honor Magic6 is set to become the second domestically produced smartphone in China to feature satellite communication technology. This development positions Honor as a significant player in the evolving market of satellite-enabled smartphones.

Advanced Features and Specifications

The Honor Magic6 is reported to share the same 3D ToF face recognition technology as the Huawei Mate 60, offering enhanced distance recognition and strong anti-interference capabilities, along with a higher refresh rate.

The smartphone will also feature a domestic 1-inch sensor, the OV50K, equipped with the new LOFIC technology, which is expected to compete directly with Sony’s 1-inch IMX989 sensor. Additionally, the Honor Magic6 will include the same OV50H sensor found in the Xiaomi 14 series.

Camera and Design Innovations

The Honor Magic6 is set to include a 160-million-pixel periscope telephoto lens and a variable aperture, along with a Porsche co-branded design option.

The Magic6 series is expected to feature a centrally placed dual-hole four-curved screen, with the standard and Pro versions sporting a round camera Deco. The design also incorporates elements from the Magic5’s lens arrangement and the Huawei Mate X5’s edge-cutting design.

Satellite Communication Capabilities

Recently, the Honor Magic6 Pro received 3C certification in China, indicating it as a “satellite mobile terminal.”

This certification confirms that the Magic6 Pro will support satellite communication technology, making Honor the second manufacturer after Huawei to launch a flagship smartphone with this capability.

The Honor Magic6 is rumored to use a more advanced satellite communication solution than Huawei, featuring an external domestic chip and supporting two-way communication or calling.

The Honor Magic6 is poised to make a significant impact in the smartphone market with its advanced satellite communication technology, cutting-edge camera features, and innovative design. As Honor continues to innovate, the Magic6 series represents a major step forward in the company’s technological capabilities and market presence.
