Honor Magic9 series to be released at the end of September

According to Fast Technology on July 31, the mobile phone industry will see a new wave of flagship phone launches this September, with multiple manufacturers showcasing their next-generation high-end products. This month is expected to be one of the most competitive flagship phone release months in recent years.

Today, digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” revealed that the Honor Magic9 series is tentatively scheduled to be released at the end of September, with the release date expected to be around September 28th.

If this timeline is followed, the Honor Magic9 series is expected to be launched and go on sale before the National Day holiday, leveraging holiday foot traffic to boost the offline store experience and garner greater market attention for the new product launch.

In terms of core configuration, the Honor Magic9 series is among the first to be equipped with Qualcomm’s new generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen6 flagship platform.

The chip will be manufactured using TSMC’s N2P 2nm process, and will be further upgraded in terms of performance, energy efficiency, and edge AI capabilities.

The Magic9 series will also become Honor’s first flagship phone to enter the 2nm era.

Imaging will be another core upgrade for the Honor Magic9 series.

The imaging technology jointly developed by Honor and German professional film and television equipment brand Arri will be fully applied to the Magic9 series, and is expected to achieve a qualitative leap in both video and photography.

Arri was founded in 1917 and has a long history of expertise in film cameras, optical systems, color management and film production processes. Its equipment and technology are widely used in professional creative settings such as film and documentary.

It’s worth mentioning that Honor CEO Li Jian previously stated that the new imaging technology jointly developed by Honor and Arri will surpass Apple’s imaging technology.

With flagship phones from various manufacturers launching in September, the new round of competition in the high-end smartphone market will no longer be limited to hardware specifications. Chip energy efficiency, imaging style, video creation capabilities, and AI experience will all become key factors for manufacturers to compete for high-end users.
