Fast Technology reported that Honor officially unveiled the world’s first robot phone at the global launch event of MWC 2026.

At the launch event, Honor CEO Li Jian pointed out that a mobile phone should not just be a boring black cube with a touchscreen. “We decided to give it a brain, and even more importantly, hands and feet, thus bringing about a bold, avant-garde, and exploratory product design like the Robot Phone.”

As the first tangible result of Honor’s Alpha strategy, the Robot Phone integrates two core AI capabilities: embody intelligent interaction and flagship imaging, possessing both IQ and EQ.

During the on-site demonstration, the camera deployed a robotic arm gimbal in 0.8 seconds, enabling automatic tracking and intelligent camera movement. It can also sense the environment, nod and sway in response to voice commands, and provide real-time image stabilization and correction.

Honor also announced a strategic partnership with ARRI, a top cinema equipment brand, to bring professional cinematic color science and production processes to mobile phones. This achievement is expected to be implemented in the Robot Phone.

According to blogger Dingjiao Digital, the Robot Phone is expected to be mass-produced and launched as early as August, and it is a mass-producible model, not a concept phone.
