Huawei Mate 80 series imaging module design unveiled: adopts symmetrical ring layout
On November 12, a digital blogger released a design image of the imaging module for a new mobile phone.
Some netizens speculate that this may be the imaging module for Huawei’s upcoming Mate 80 series phones.
Judging from the leaked images, the camera module of the Huawei Mate 80 series continues the series’ signature centrally located circular “star ring” design, with the overall design consisting of two concentric rings, retaining the series’ consistent recognizability.
The module has a rigorous and symmetrical internal layout: there is a lens on the top left and right, two vertical strip openings in the middle (possibly for flash), and a larger circular lens in the bottom center.
It is worth noting that there is a circular hole in the center of the circular module, which is speculated to correspond to a multispectral lens.

It is understood that the Huawei Mate 80 series will be the first to be equipped with the Kirin 9030 chip.
In terms of screen, the entire Mate 80 series may return to a flat screen design. The standard version is equipped with a 6.75-inch 1.5K screen, while the Pro and above versions will be upgraded to a 6.89-inch 1.5K dual-layer OLED flat screen with a screen ratio of up to 94.5%, a peak brightness of 4000 nits, and support for 3D face recognition.
The imaging system has also been upgraded. The Pro+ version is expected to be equipped with a 1-inch ultra-large sensor main camera, along with a 10-stop physical variable aperture and an RYYB color filter array, which will greatly improve low-light shooting capabilities.
In terms of battery life, the Huawei Mate 80 series is expected to be equipped with a 6000mAh silicon-carbon anode battery across the board, supporting 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging.
It’s worth noting that Pro and higher models may integrate a miniature cooling fan into the camera module to ensure sustained high performance. Furthermore, all models will support two-way satellite communication, enhancing connectivity in scenarios without terrestrial network access.
