According to blogger RD’s observation, as of W35, 2026 (August 24-30), the sales volume of Huawei Mate 80 series was approximately 8.9793 million units.
Based on the previous weekly increase of 160,000 to 180,000 units, the sales of the Mate 80 series have undoubtedly exceeded 9 million units, just one step away from the 10 million mark.
Looking back at the overall sales curve, the Mate80 series followed a different trajectory than most flagship models, without experiencing a sharp drop in sales after its release, and maintained a stable level of shipments over a long period.
Sales exceeded 1 million units in just 18 days after its launch, and continued to climb steadily thereafter. It crossed the 6 million unit mark in May, broke through 8 million units in late July, and has now reached 9 million units.
Even though it has been almost ten months since its release, the Mate 80 series can still maintain a weekly sales volume of over 100,000 units.
The Huawei Mate 80 series will be released in November 2025, including multiple models such as Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max and Mate 80 RS Master, and will be the first to be equipped with the Kirin 9030 series processor.
Amidst rising industry storage costs and widespread price increases for flagship phones, the Mate 80 starts at 4699 yuan, a direct reduction of 800 yuan compared to the previous generation Mate 70’s starting price of 5499 yuan. Furthermore, 3D face recognition has been extended to the standard version, significantly narrowing the experience gap between the standard and high-end versions and directly boosting the market performance of high-volume models.
It is worth noting that, based on Huawei’s past product cycle, after the launch of the new generation Mate 90 series, the Mate 80 series will continue to sell well for a considerable period of time, and its final lifecycle performance will far exceed 10 million units.
