OnePlus 16 is the world’s first to feature a triple-chip gaming processor:

According to a blogger’s leak on September 8th, the OnePlus 16 will be the first to feature a triple-chip gaming processor. These three chips are the P4 super display chip, the G3 gaming network chip, and the T3 touch chip.

The OnePlus 16’s gaming tri-chip system, which is being launched for the first time this time, is all self-developed. It will bring the fastest FPS gaming experience, with significant improvements in touch, network and display. Moreover, FPS game studios have been deeply involved in the tuning. The gaming performance of the OnePlus 16 is worth looking forward to.

Unlike traditional performance phones, the OnePlus 16, with its self-developed e-sports tri-core chip, brings a full-chain chip-level hardware solution, completely rewriting the gaming experience of flagship phones.

These three gaming chips optimize the entire process across display, touch, and network dimensions, completely resolving pain points such as lag during team battles and operation delays, with the goal of achieving zero game lag, zero touch interruptions, and zero network disconnections.

In terms of hardware configuration, the OnePlus 16 will be among the first to be equipped with Qualcomm’s sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra flagship platform. This chip is manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process, and its CPU clock speed has broken through 5GHz for the first time, marking the official entry of the mobile phone industry into the 5GHz era.

Qualcomm states that the new Oryon CPU uses Qualcomm’s proprietary architecture, making it the first mobile CPU to reach a maximum clock speed of 5GHz. This high clock speed, combined with excellent IPC performance, delivers fast response and a smooth experience whether launching applications, playing demanding games, creating content, or multitasking.

In addition, the OnePlus 16 will debut a new generation of Oriental Screen, jointly developed by OnePlus and BOE. This screen supports a global 165Hz refresh rate and, paired with the new ColorOS 17 operating system, provides a smoother and more fluid experience. The phone is expected to be officially released in October.
