Huawei Mate XT 2 debuts hardware-level privacy screen: independent RGB pixel driver does not affect display quality

Fast Technology reported that the Huawei Mate XT 2 Extraordinary Master tri-folding phone is the first to introduce a hardware-level Spirit Shield privacy screen.

The blogger “Digital Chat Station” points out that the Huawei Mate XT 2’s privacy screen uses independent RGB pixel drivers, which have virtually no impact on display quality. In contrast, Samsung’s privacy screen mode affects the display effect, highlighting a fundamental difference between the two.

It is reported that Huawei’s LingShield privacy screen technology pioneered a dual-pixel design in one area, with two sets of independent pixels corresponding to two display modes. Whether in privacy mode or shared mode, it maintains a consistently high level of display quality without sacrificing image quality.

When someone looks at your phone screen, you can enter privacy mode with a single tap, making the screen content visible only to yourself. This time, Huawei Mate XT 2 makes the Smart Shield privacy screen an optional feature, achieving a perfect closed loop in the entire business privacy chain.

For business people who frequently handle sensitive information, Huawei’s privacy protection feature is undoubtedly an important line of defense against information leakage when using your phone in public places.

In addition, the Huawei Mate XT 2 adopts an ultra-reliable triple-folding xuanwu architecture, with the left and right screens folding inwards and the entire inner screen being covered, eliminating the risk of the inner screen being exposed. Moreover, the whole device has passed many rigorous tests, and its durability has been greatly improved.

This new product is now available for pre-order on major platforms, offering four versions: 16GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB, 16GB+1TB with a privacy screen, and 16GB+2TB. It comes in three colors: black, white, and purple. It will be officially released on September 7.

Compared to its predecessor, the XTs, the Mate XT 2 features significant upgrades in screen and performance, and its starting price may exceed 20,000 yuan.
