Fast Technology reported that blogger Super Dimension revealed the design of the Huawei Mate 90 RS. The phone continues the octagonal lens design language of the Master Series, giving it a highly distinctive look.
Previously, the Huawei Mate 60 RS and Mate XT both adopted an octagonal lens design. This design fully embodies the family’s symmetrical design philosophy, creating a striking visual focal point on the back of the phone with sharp lines and a three-dimensional structure.
As an interpretation of the concept of unity, it gives every edge and every line an artistic texture. It’s worth noting that the blogger also revealed that the Mate 90 RS may use ceramic as the body material.
In terms of screen, the Mate 90 RS features a dual-layer OLED flat screen with a triple punch-hole design, measuring approximately 6.9 inches, and supports 3D face recognition.
Dual-layer OLED, also known as Tandem OLED, is an innovative display technology that adds another layer of light-emitting units on top of a traditional single-layer OLED light-emitting unit. Its core principle is to vertically stack two RGB light-emitting units to form a dual-layer light-emitting structure, improving overall display performance through the collaborative work of the two layers.
Because it has two light-emitting layers, the lifespan of a dual-layer OLED screen is significantly extended. The electric field strength borne by each light-emitting layer is halved, which greatly slows down the aging rate of the material.
In addition, the Mate 90 RS Master will also be equipped with the Kirin 9050 Pro chip, which adopts a brand-new logical folding technology and achieves a leap in performance through architectural innovation without relying on more advanced lithography processes.
