Huawei nova 16 SE’s appearance revealed for the first time:

Fast Technology reported that blogger Super Dimension leaked spy photos of the Huawei nova 16 SE’s appearance. The phone features a horizontal large-matrix module design, with a camera arrangement similar to the iPhone 17 Pro. The Huawei and nova brand logos are printed on the lower part of the back cover.

In terms of color options, in addition to the classic black and white, the nova 16 SE also features a brand-new gradient color design, paying homage to Huawei’s flagship Pura 90 Pro Max.

It is reported that the Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max, released in the first half of this year, features an “Orange Sea” color scheme, employing a unique orange-blue gradient design to recreate the soft and beautiful scene of the sea and sky merging at sunset. Its back panel transitions smoothly and naturally from a lake blue at the top to an orange-red at the bottom.

Combined with an industry-first dual-color gradient metal frame, the colors of the frame and back panel are precisely matched, creating a strong sense of unity and a holiday atmosphere. This bold color design and technological breakthrough is both a tribute to the classic gradient colors of the Huawei P20 and P30 era and a transcendence of them.

Unlike the Pura 90 Pro Max’s orange-green color scheme, the Huawei nova 16 SE uses a gradient from light color at the top to orange-red at the bottom, which is equally distinctive. In terms of core specifications, the nova 16 SE is equipped with the Kirin 8020 chip, positioned as a mid-range SoC.

Compared to its predecessor, the Kirin 8020 boasts a 52% improvement in CPU multi-core performance, a 26% improvement in GPU performance, and a 128% improvement in NPU performance, representing a significant leap in overall performance.

In addition, the Huawei nova 16 SE will also be equipped with a red maple primary color camera. This lens is actually a multispectral sensor, whose core function is to achieve accurate color reproduction by sensing the ambient spectrum. The phone will be officially unveiled at Huawei’s All-Scenario New Product Launch Conference on August 5.
