Huawei Pura 80 Pro main camera is equipped with SmartSens SC5A0CS

The main camera of Huawei Pura 80 Pro will be equipped with SmartSens SC5A0CS, which is the latest domestically produced one-inch lens king.

According to supply chain information, SC5A0CS was jointly developed by a domestic manufacturer and SmartSens, and Huawei should have been deeply involved.

SC5A0CS uses a 1-inch ultra-large bottom with a RYYB filter array, which greatly improves the photosensitivity compared to traditional RGGB, and low-light imaging can achieve a “night vision goggles” effect.

The RYYB filter array is currently only used by Huawei, which replaces the green color in the original combination of one red, one blue, and two green pixels with yellow.

Yellow is a combination of green and red, and the brightness is the superposition of the two. Theoretically, the amount of light entering can be increased by about 30%-40%.

In addition to RYYB, the Huawei Pura 80 series is also expected to be equipped with a physical variable aperture design (F1.4-F4.0), taking into account the needs of large depth of field portraits and night scene highlight suppression.

It is worth noting that the latest Pro models of major manufacturers have abandoned the 1-inch screen. The 1-inch main camera is usually exclusive to Ultra models. Huawei Pura 80 Pro will be the only one-inch Pro in the same period.

In terms of other configurations, the engineering machine of Pura 80 Pro uses a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO 2.5D straight screen and four-narrow-edge packaging technology. The visual effect and texture of the whole machine will be better than the previous generation.

It is reported that Huawei’s Pura 80 series will be released in June, pre-installed with the native Hongmeng system.
