The upcoming iPhone 16 series is set to receive a significant upgrade, as reported by Jeff Pu, a technology analyst at Haitong International. According to Pu, the entire iPhone 16 lineup will be equipped with 8GB of memory and support Wi-Fi 6E, marking a notable enhancement in the series’ specifications.
This upgrade means that both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models will feature 8GB of memory, improving their multitasking performance capabilities. The memory configuration for the upcoming iPhone series is as follows:
In addition to the memory upgrade, the iPhone 16 series will also feature comprehensive support for Wi-Fi 6E, unlike the iPhone 15 series, where only the Pro models supported this technology. Wi-Fi 6E allows for the use of the 6GHz frequency band, which can provide faster wireless speeds and reduce signal interference.
Furthermore, recent leaks suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro will incorporate capacitive buttons, replacing physical buttons. This change will be complemented by the addition of two Taptic Engine motors on the sides of the device, bringing the total to three. These motors are designed to provide realistic physical button feedback, making the “solid-state keys” feel like pressing actual buttons.
