Redmi Note 13 Series Launches Globally Supports IP68 Protection and 1.5K Screen

President of Xiaomi Lu Weibing announced yesterday that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series is ready for an unpacked event for global launch tomorrow. The Redmi Note 13 series, which includes the Redmi Note 13 5G, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G models, is set to launch internationally on January 15. This series, which was initially released in China in September of last year, features the debut of new chipsets from MediaTek and Snapdragon.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro is the first to feature the second-generation Snapdragon 7s chip, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ debuts with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra chip. In terms of design, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has a flat-screen, and the Pro+ model features a curved screen. The Pro model has a dual-glass body, whereas the Pro+ model comes in either a glass or leather finish.

Both models are equipped with a second-generation 1.5K high-brightness eye protection screen, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. The screens can reach a full-screen brightness of 500 nits, a full-screen excitation brightness of 1200 nits, and a local peak of 1800 nits.

A notable feature of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is its support for IP68 dust and water resistance, a feature typically reserved for high-end flagship models. This addition provides an extra layer of security and peace of mind for users, especially in critical situations.

The Redmi Note 13 series represents a significant step forward in the mid-range smartphone market, offering advanced features and specifications typically found in more expensive models.
