Apple released the ultra-thin iPhone Air this year, but because it has uniformly cancelled the physical SIM card solution, it must be used in areas that support eSIM.
Because of this special design, it was not released in the country at the same time as the other three iPhone models this year.
According to Sina Technology, Apple responded to this matter by saying that we are working closely with regulators and strive to launch it in China as soon as possible.
Apple’s statement is as follows:
The new iPhone Air features an incredibly thin and light design that’s more durable than any previous iPhone model, and it features pro-grade performance, an innovative Center Stage front-facing camera, a 48-megapixel converged camera system, and amazing all-day battery life.
We can’t wait for customers to experience iPhone Air. We’re working closely with regulators to launch it in China as soon as possible.
Pre-orders for iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max will open at 8 p.m. (Beijing time) today, and we will also launch the iPhone Air as soon as it is approved.
The official website currently displays: Release information will be updated later.
In fact, China Unicom and China Telecom have both stated that they will support iPhone Air eSIM as soon as possible. China Mobile has also stated that it already supports eSIM mobile phone services and will notify you separately when the services are opened later.
In other words, the operators are basically ready and just need to wait for regulatory review.
