Kirin chips officially return to Huawei Mate 80 after four years
Huawei Mate XTs was released a few days ago. Unlike before, Huawei announced at the press conference that the new phone is equipped with Kirin 9020 chip.
It is understood that the last time the Kirin chip appeared at a Huawei press conference was in 2021. Four years later, the Huawei press conference publicly mentioned the Kirin chip again.
After the new phone was released, digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” posted a post saying that after years of sanctions, Huawei publicly released its self-developed processor Kirin 9020 in China for the first time, and we can look forward to the Kirin 9030 in the Mate 80 series next.

The blogger predicts that Kirin 9030 will have new breakthroughs in technology, performance, communication and other aspects.
There have been rumors from various sources that the Huawei Mate 80 series will be equipped with an active cooling fan for the first time, further improving the performance ceiling of the Kirin chip.
This means that the performance of Kirin 9030 will be more powerful and the gaming experience will be greatly enhanced.
In addition to the new chip, the high-end version of the Huawei Mate 80 series will also be equipped with SmartSens’ new SC595XS sensor, which is made of domestic 22nm and is a pure domestic top-level CMOS.
The sensor has 50 million pixels and a large 1/1.28-inch base, achieving an ultra-high dynamic range of up to 110dB.
It is reported that the Huawei Mate 80 series is expected to be released around November.
