Unlike many smartphones that depend on pre launch leaks to generate buzz, the Motorola Razr Fold didn’t need that kind of exposure. Motorola had already shown off the device at the beginning of the year giving fans a preview well ahead of its formal announcement. However one detail that remained under wraps was the appearance of its bold FIFA special edition Razr Fold. Until recently no one knew what design elements this football themed variant would bring to the table.

Motorola has teamed up with FIFA to create a series of devices inspired by the upcoming World Cup. The global tournament is set to take place across the United States, Canada and Mexico this year bringing together fans from around the world. Among the first results of this collaboration is a limited edition FIFA 2026 Razr which embraces a strikingly bright and energetic look.

Motorola appears to be taking a different design approach with the Razr Fold. Recent leaks courtesy of @evleaks indicate that the device won’t be nearly as colorful as some might expect. Not figuratively but quite literally, the FIFA 2026 Razr Fold is expected to sport a black and gold color scheme creating a bold yet elegant contrast.

The back of the phone reveals a faintly etched “2026” design created in line with FIFA’s recognizable iconography. Right in the middle, a gold Motorola logo adds a bold accent to the overall look. In addition the device will likely include the exclusive World Cup wallpaper showcased in the images.

The leak doesn’t reveal any information about the phone’s specifications. While Motorola recently offered a teaser for the device, that early glimpse was primarily intended to build anticipation for the official launch. The company has made it clear that further information will be shared on March 2, coinciding with the Mobile World Congress event.

Almost every aspect of the Razr Fold’s design has already been revealed. During CES, we had the opportunity to get some hands on experience with the device and it left a strong impression. The hardware feels solid and well built, showing clear promise as a competitor in the foldable space. It looks ready to go toe to toe with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, holding its own on an even playing field. That said information about the phone’s internal components and performance is still limited. We’ll probably have to wait until the formal launch in early March before the full specification sheet is revealed.
