Meizu CEO Huang Zhipan responded to netizens’ questions about “whether there is a Meizu 22 Pro version” on Weibo and made it clear that
the current Meizu 22 is the Pro version, and the ultra-thin and large-screen Meizu 22 Air version will be released later .
In other words, the Meizu 22 will be built according to the previous Pro standards. It is expected that wireless charging, periscope telephoto, flagship chip and high-quality LTPO screen will be transferred to the standard version of the Meizu 22 mobile phone .
It is reported that Meizu 22 officially started preheating on July 28. The biggest highlight of this phone is that it challenges the world’s narrowest physical quadrilateral of 1.2mm. It uses self-developed LIPO packaging technology, which is more advanced than traditional COG and COF. By optimizing the chip and circuit layout, it compresses the border width while ensuring stable signal transmission.
It is worth noting that the Meizu 22 uses a white front panel on an extremely narrow bezel, which makes the process more difficult due to the extremely low yield.
Although other brands’ flagship models equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite2 or Dimensity 9500 also plan to adopt 1.2mm narrow bezels, they will not be unveiled until September or October. The early release of Meizu 22 highlights its technological advantages.
