OnePlus 15 comes with Fengchi gaming kernel: Optimizing the Snapdragon 8E5 into the 8E5 Ultra

Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, said that many new phones now use the latest flagship chips of the contemporary era, but are still desperately “optimizing” 120 frames. We have ushered in a new era of 165-frame games and it is easy to play in the 165-frame world.

The OnePlus 15’s performance is incredibly powerful, and its 165 FPS gaming performance is the perfect testament to that. We’ve integrated the all-new Windchi gaming core into the 5th-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5, transforming it into the 5th-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra. This ultra-high frame rate isn’t just a gimmick; it’s an everyday reality, delivering full frame rates in all your games, no matter how long you play.

165 ultra-high frame rate beats 120 frame rate, which is not just a performance gap, but a dimensionality reduction attack on smoothness and speed. Moreover, the lineup of 165 frame games this time is also the most luxurious in history.

It is reported that the new Fengchi gaming kernel will fully unleash the CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities of the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition. According to official data, it will optimize the scheduler efficiency by 29.8%, reduce the core load by 15.6%, and optimize the power consumption of the entire machine by 11.7%.

The new product will be officially unveiled on October 27.
