OxygenOS update adds bypass charging and 50MP photo editing to OnePlus 13

Last month, OnePlus introduced bypass charging support for non-gaming activities on the OnePlus 15 with the OxygenOS 16.0.2.401 update. Continuing this rollout, the company has now brought the same capability to the OnePlus 13 with the feature arriving via the OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 update.

OnePlus offers the OnePlus 13 in two configurations. The 256GB variant paired with 12GB of RAM is priced at $869.11 or €789.00 while the higher end model with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM costs $759.99 or €786.70. Besides pricing, the OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 update adds the January 2026 Android security patch and lets users edit 50MP photos in the Photos app without lowering image quality.

  • Delight in details
    • The Photos app now supports editing images (up to 50 million pixels) without compromising image quality.
    • Adds a bypass charging feature. When gaming, live streaming, watching videos, navigating, or in other high-load situations, you can now connect to the charger for bypass charging. This feature lets you simultaneously use and charge your phone without harming the battery, while also reducing overheating.
    • Improves app categorization in Drawer mode by adding the “Office” and “Finance” categories to make it easier to find apps.
    • Integrates the January 2026 Android security patch to enhance system security.
  • Security & privacy
    • You can now browse files in Private Safe by sliding the side slider.
    • You can now search for files from folders in Private Safe.
    • You can now share files in Private Safe.
  • Network connections
    • Adds a “Reply with SMS” switch that lets you hide the SMS reply option on the incoming call screen. You can find this feature in “Contacts -︙- Settings – Answer/End calls – Reply with SMS”.

The latest OxygenOS 16.0.3.501 update come with firmware version CPH2649_16.0.3.501(EX01). At the moment, the update is being rolled out in India to a limited number of users. OnePlus is expected to begin a wider rollout for more users in the country over the next few days.
