It is understood that DeepSeek R1 is an open source reasoning model released by the Chinese AI company DeepSeek on January 20, 2025.
This model achieves performance comparable to the official version of OpenAI o1 at a very low cost and is considered the biggest “dark horse” in the large model industry.
