Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 is going to increase in price
Blogger Digital Chat Station revealed that Qualcomm’s flagship platform Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 (model SM8950) next year will adopt TSMC’s 2nm process. The blogger said, “The price of 2nm may be unacceptable to many people, so SM8950 has a low-end version for users to choose from.”
According to previous leaks, TSMC’s initial pricing for each 2nm wafer will reach US$30,000 , which will inevitably push up the chip price of Snapdragon 8 Elite 3, and related terminals will also increase in price.

In October last year, domestic brands collectively raised prices because Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite and MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chips adopted TSMC’s 3nm process, so the iterative flagships in the second half of next year will most likely follow suit.
It is worth noting that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 series will have two chips for the first time: standard version and Pro version, with a positioning similar to Apple’s A/A Pro.
Due to the high cost of 2nm, next year’s iterative flagship may use Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 for the standard version and Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 Pro for the Pro version.
