Last month in China, Realme introduced the GT 8 Pro. Its innovative removable lens cover lets you personalize your phone with designs ranging from sleek round and bold square to playful robot styles, available in a variety of colors and materials.
Before the GT 8 Pro launches globally, Realme explained more about its switchable camera bump and other important design features.
The lens cover of the GT 8 Pro is secured with two screws, allowing for interchangeable styles. Realme plans to release first-party camera bumps, while more technically inclined users can produce custom 3D-printed designs.
Realme added small contrasting colors to the “robot-themed” lens module under the camera cover to make it look more stylish.
The Realme GT 8 Pro will come in Diary White and Urban Blue. Along with its removable camera bump, the Urban Blue variant features a new “paper-like” back finish made using recycled plastics and textiles. The back is enhanced with organic dyes and a spray-applied organic silicone coating, allowing for engraving accuracy of 0.02mm.
The GT 8 Pro’s global variant will feature the same specifications as the China model, including a 7,000mAh battery, 120W wired and 50W wireless charging and IP66, IP68 and IP69 protection. The company has not yet announced a global launch date, but further details are expected soon.
