realme phones have withdrawn from the Chinese market

Fast Technology reported that Xu Qi, Vice President and Global Marketing President of realme, officially announced on his personal Weibo account that realme will be pausing its operations in the Chinese market to focus its resources on overseas markets. This news quickly garnered widespread attention, with related topics subsequently topping the trending search list. Many loyal fans shared photos of their realme phones in the comments section, expressing their reluctance to part with the brand and their continued support.

Some netizens commented that realme is a very distinctive young brand. From its 150W and 240W fast charging technologies to its collaboration with Ricoh GR, realme always manages to deliver surprising product breakthroughs. It’s a brand that dares to leapfrog its competitors, making people exclaim, “I really want to see Xuqi Square again!”

It is understood that “Xu Qi Square” is a long-standing internet meme in the digital industry.
Whenever realme launches a product with a highly competitive price, or when a model receives high scores and positive reviews on digital platforms such as Coolapk, netizens use this meme to express their excitement and approval, similar to the cheering sentiment of “everyone stand up.” It is both an affirmation of realme’s value-for-money strategy by netizens and has gradually become a symbolic interactive icon in the mobile phone industry.

In the announcement, Xu Qi stated that for a young brand, learning to “focus” often requires more courage than “moving forward with inertia.” realme’s decision to press the pause button on the Chinese market was made after repeated deliberation and careful consideration. In the future, the brand will concentrate its resources on cultivating overseas markets, focusing on performance and gaming, and bringing cutting-edge technology to more users worldwide.

Xu Qi also made a clear commitment to Chinese users who have already chosen realme: the continued sales and after-sales warranty of existing models will be fully handled by the official OPPO team.

Regarding system updates, after the release of the next generation of ColorOS, realme users can update to the ColorOS system normally upon receiving an update notification. The brand promises to ensure that the rights and interests of every user are not affected.

Xu Qi concluded by saying that this was a rational shift. Over the past few years, he has gained three most precious things: the courage to leapfrog ahead, the joy of progress, and the love of his users. This shared memory of “leaping ahead” will become the foundation and driving force for realme’s journey into new global markets.
