Realme GT8 Pro debuts Ricoh GR-certified main camera! Reduces ghosting and glare

Realme GT8 Pro will be released this month. The new phone is co-branded with Ricoh Imaging and will bring the authentic Ricoh GR flavor.

Today, Realme Mobile announced that the Realme GT8 Pro will be equipped with a Ricoh GR anti-glare main camera. This is the industry’s first main camera lens certified by Ricoh GR optical standards, and has passed professional camera-level standards for anti-glare, low distortion, high resolution, and low chromatic aberration.

Realme Vice President Wang Wei said that this main camera has achieved three major technological breakthroughs.

In terms of anti-glare and low distortion, GT8 Pro adopts a new lens structure, which brings 7P high lens elements and 5 layers of ultra-low reflection coating with a reflectivity as low as 0.2%. Each layer can eliminate a large amount of reflection, thereby suppressing ghosting and glare, making the picture cleaner and more transparent.

In addition, the lens is equipped with super-light lens glass,
which uses a high-light-transmittance double-layer AR coating process with a transmittance of up to 97%.

To further optimize the imaging quality, the lens group also adds deep absorption blue glass and uses IR spin-coating filter coating for glare control. It has a 30% red light interception rate, reduces infrared interference, and ensures true color reproduction of the image.

At the same time, filtering stray light by absorption rather than mutual cancellation can avoid glare pollution caused by secondary reflection.

In terms of algorithms, Realme and Ricoh GR imaging experts jointly created a unique intuitive algorithm engine. The algorithm engine focuses on realism and strives to improve image quality while avoiding damage to the picture.

It is understood that Realme also restores the picture texture through four core algorithms: Raw domain pixel-level image quality algorithm, 10-bit true color transition, super light-sensitive HDR algorithm, and Film-tone algorithm.

In terms of core configuration, the realme GT8 Pro will be equipped with the fifth-generation Snapdragon 8, 200 million telephoto lens, 2K straight screen, master-level symmetrical dual speakers, battery capacity will exceed 7000mAh, and support wireless charging.
