Redmi K80 series 2K screen in one picture: all series with ultrasonic fingerprint

Redmi announced that the Redmi K80 series will be released next week, and the specific release time has not yet been announced.

At the same time, Redmi also announced that the Redmi K80 series will be equipped with the Grand Slam 2K screen jointly launched by Redmi, Sun Yat-sen University Zhongshan Eye Center, and TCL Huaxing.

The entire Redmi K80 series uses the Grand Slam 2K screen (LTPS), and the entire series supports full-brightness DC dimming, circularly polarized light technology, AON texture eye protection, and ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking.

It is understood that the principle of ultrasonic fingerprint recognition is that when you press the screen with your finger, the sensor under the screen emits ultrasonic waves to the area where the finger is pressed.

When the ultrasonic wave contacts the “ridges” and “valleys” of the fingerprint, the degree of absorption, penetration and reflection varies, and echoes of different energies are generated and received by the sensor, thereby constructing a 3D fingerprint image.

Compared with optical fingerprint recognition, ultrasonic fingerprint recognition has strong penetration, strong resistance to water stains and stains, high recognition rate, supports liveness detection, and has higher security.

The Redmi K80 series screen uses customized M9 luminous material with a global excitation brightness of 1800nits, the same as Xiaomi 15, and supports ADV-MEMC image quality eye protection, which is optimized for game image quality. AON intelligent eye protection can monitor visual health in real time.

Digital blogger “Digital Chat Station” said, “Redmi’s screen is even more powerful than Xiaomi’s, plus other configurations have been greatly upgraded, so be warned.”

It is reported that the Redmi K80 series will bring two models, K80 standard version and K80 Pro, equipped with Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor.
