Fast Technology reported that REDMI officially launched its new Note series product, the REDMI Note 17, in the Indian market, offering three color options: light blue, black, and meteor purple.
In terms of pricing, the 6GB+128GB version is priced at 27,999 Indian Rupees, which is approximately 2,000 RMB; the 8GB+128GB version is priced at 30,999 Indian Rupees, which is approximately 2,200 RMB.
Like the Chinese version, the Indian version of the REDMI Note 17 also features a 7-inch screen and an 8000mAh battery, powered by Qualcomm’s fourth-generation Snapdragon 8 mobile platform. It supports microSD card expansion, comes pre-installed with Android 16, and REDMI promises four years of software update support.
The main difference between the two lies in the storage options. The Chinese version offers a large 8GB+256GB configuration, while the Indian version only offers 8GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB options. Due to the recent continuous rise in memory prices, many mid-to-low-end models have quietly discontinued large-capacity storage versions, so it’s not surprising that the Indian version of the REDMI Note 17 does not offer a 256GB version.
As the standard model in the Note series, the REDMI Note 17 is equipped with an 8000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery. This battery uses flagship-level packaging and high-density stacking technology, increasing the energy density to 821Wh/L, ensuring ample power for a full day of daily use.
Meanwhile, this battery has passed TUV SÜD’s multi-dimensional five-star quality certification. After 1,600 charge-discharge cycles, its capacity still remains above 80%, demonstrating excellent durability.
Furthermore, the REDMI Note 17 features a 200% increase in volume and supports up to 2TB of storage expansion, further meeting users’ practical needs for large-capacity storage and high-quality external audio. Overall, this product demonstrates impressive performance in terms of battery life, durability, and expandability.
