Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chip was originally planned to be used in the Galaxy S25 series, but due to yield issues it had to be abandoned and switched to the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition. Now the production yield problem of Exynos 2500 seems to have been resolved.
Recently, some netizens exposed the information of Samsung Exynos 2500 processor, which adopts “1+2+5+2” ten-core CPU architecture, including 1 3.30 GHz super core, 2 2.75 GHz large cores, 5 2.36 GHz large cores and 2 1.80 GHz small cores.
In terms of running points, the Geekbench 6.4 running point test showed that the Samsung Exynos 2500 scored 2012 points in single-core and 7563 points in multi-core.
This score is not only far lower than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition (single-core about 3200 points, multi-core about 10400 points), but also lower than MediaTek Dimensity 9400 (single-core about 2900 points, multi-core about 9200 points), Apple A18 Pro (single-core about 3400 points, multi-core about 8500 points) and Xiaomi Xuanjie O1 (single-core 3008 points, multi-core 9509 points).
In addition, the Exynos 2500 also integrates the Xclipse 950 GPU customized by Samsung and AMD, and is equipped with 12GB of memory.
According to previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 may be the first to be equipped with Exynos 2500, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be equipped with the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition.
