Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, a flagship phone priced around 50,000 yuan

Samsung typically launches a new generation of its Galaxy S series flagship phones in the first half of each year. As is customary, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be available to consumers in February next year.

This month, Samsung officially started mass production of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will begin mass production early next year, slightly later than the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Looking back at previous S-series models, the Ultra version usually accounts for about 50% of the series’ sales. Based on this, Samsung prioritized the mass production of the Galaxy S26 Ultra in order to prepare sufficient stock before its launch.

It is understood that the entire Galaxy S26 Ultra series is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra (Snapdragon 8E5) platform, while the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are divided into Snapdragon version and Exynos version. The Exynos version is equipped with the Samsung Exynos 2600 chip, and this version is only sold in South Korea. The Snapdragon version is sold in other markets.

In addition, the Galaxy S26 Ultra continues the quad-camera system of its predecessor, including a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel 3x vertical telephoto camera. The front camera is 12 megapixels.

In terms of pricing, referring to the starting price of the previous generation Galaxy S25 Ultra at 9699 yuan (12GB+256GB), the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be priced at around 10,000 yuan, with the 1TB top-of-the-line version priced at over 13,000 yuan.
