Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 Gets February 2025 Security Update

Samsung has rolled out a new software update for its rugged smartphone, the Galaxy XCover 5, which launched in 2021. The update brings the February 2025 security patch, addressing several security vulnerabilities. You can check out the details of these fixes here.

This update is now available for the global version of the Galaxy XCover 5 (model number SM-G525F) and comes with firmware version G525FXXSEEYB1. It’s live across multiple regions, including the Americas, Asia, Australia, and Europe.

To update your Galaxy XCover 5, follow these simple steps:

1. Open Settings on your phone.
2. Scroll down and tap Software update.
3. Select Download and install to grab the latest security update.

If the update isn’t available yet, don’t worry—it may take some time to roll out to all devices. You can either wait for it to arrive or manually install it. No More OS Updates for Galaxy XCover 5

The Galaxy XCover 5 originally launched with Android 11 and has since received three major OS updates, as promised by Samsung.
